On-the-Job Learning
On 18th May, a group of teachers with regard to on-the-job learning in Yixiu District came to our school to study. The English group’s learning and exchange activity was divided into three parts: following class learning, teaching and research within the English group, and sharing experience and characteristics, lasting for a week.
First and foremost, follow the teachers into classes: Yang Chun, the English teaching and research group leader, prepared each lesson carefully, and made the teachers have a more real experience of classroom teaching, who also actively listened to the classes and observed the classes meticulously, and experienced the characteristic classes of Anqing Foreign Language School’s top teachers!
In addition, joining the English teaching and research group: in the first class on the afternoon of 24th May, the teachers in regard to the on-the-job learning program and the teachers in the English group of our school watched Qi Qingqing's demonstration lesson together, in which Qi Qingqing used different kinds of teaching methods according to the conditions of the time and students, which impressed everyone a lot! Moreover, the group evaluation after class made the teachers of the on-the-job learning program highly appreciate the atmosphere of the English teaching and research group.
Last but not the least, experience and characteristics sharing: Zhang Mengmeng, the leader of the English lesson preparation group of the seventh grade, shared and exchanged the ‘Work Experience of the English Group of Anqing Foreign Language School’s Junior High Department’, introduced the characteristic brand of English this semester and colorful student activities, and analyzed the activities of the English group of the Junior High Department from various angles, from famous teachers’ open week to classroom research in Grade 9, and from lecture attending to student activities.
To put it in a nutshell, adhering to the concept of mutual learning, common improvement and common development, the teachers of the on-the-job learning program also actively communicated with teachers in our school about classroom teaching and experience after class. Furthermore, during this study, the teachers expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the high quality education, characteristic construction and intelligent environment of our school.
